An environment that I created for a lighting class at University. This was the first environment that I'd created in Unreal Engine, it was definitely a learning curve. Creating this project helped me solidify my knowledge surrounding light maps, light map density, texel density, and other optimisation methods. The style and colour palette for this project was inspired by dark themed locations from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and other fantasy titles.

The grass, ferns, and tree stumps in this scene were downloaded from the Unreal Marketplace. The fire used in this scene is from the engine starter content, these third party sources were used in order to save time on the project.
